Durable LED lights
The strength and durability of LED lights make them an ideal option for conditions that are more hazardous. LED lights make use of solid state lighting technology and have very few components. The chip within an LED light is encased in an epoxy resin that helps protect it. Other lighting options use filament or neon gas, both of which are more fragile and susceptible to breakage. Because of their design, they are much less likely to shatter if they are accidentally dropped or bumped.
LED lights can withstand and are resistant to vibrations, shock, and impact from external objects. They are ideal for exposure to harsh weather including wind and rain and don’t have any variation in light output in hot or cold weather extremes. They are even the recommended choice in areas that are at risk for vandalism, traffic-related impact and construction sites.
In the unlikely event that an LED light does break, they are still a better choice than other lighting options. LED lights are free of toxic chemicals, notably mercury, that are harmful to the environment.
